Call for Abstracts

The Association of VA Neurology Services is pleased to announce the call for abstract submissions for our Annual Conference, to be held at the Westin Denver Downtown in Denver, CO from March 6-8, 2026. This conference serves as a platform for neurologists, researchers, clinicians, and allied health professionals within the Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system to share expertise, discuss best practices, and explore innovations in the field of neurology.

We invite abstract submissions for E-Poster presentations on topics relevant to the care of our nation's veterans, including but not limited to:

1. Neurological manifestations of traumatic brain injury (TBI)

2. Neurodegenerative disorders in veterans, such as Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease

3. Stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation

4. Epilepsy management and seizure disorders in veterans

5. Neurological complications of service-related injuries

6. Advances in tele-neurology and remote patient monitoring

7. Mental health comorbidities in veterans with neurological conditions

8. Innovative approaches to neurorehabilitation and functional restoration

9. Neurological considerations in the aging veteran population

10. Addressing health disparities in neurological care for veterans

Submission Guidelines:

• Abstracts must be submitted electronically

• Abstracts should be structured with clear sections for background, methods, results, and conclusions, or with appropriate headings for case reports, clinical vignettes, or quality improvement initiatives.

• Abstracts must not exceed 350 words.

• Submissions related to VA-specific initiatives, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary collaborations are highly encouraged.

• Abstracts from Industry are eligible for submission. Abstracts/posters must disclose this is "Information from Industry". Industry can only submit 2 abstracts per company.

Important Dates:

• Abstract submission deadline: November 14, 2025

• Notification of acceptance: November 29, 2025

• Registration open: September 15, 2025

• Exhibitor Registration open: September 15, 2025

• Registration deadline: February 3, 2026

• Conference dates: March 6-8, 2026

Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference program and may be eligible for consideration for awards recognizing excellence in research, clinical care, and innovation within the VA neurology community.
